If you’re applying for your initial CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) permit in California, this is the state-mandated course required by your issuing agency. But at Luna Tactical, we don’t just meet the standard—we raise it.
I’m Oscar Luna, and I built this program to not only certify you—but prepare you for the weight and responsibility of carrying a loaded firearm in public. This is a practical, no-nonsense course designed to give you the tools, mindset, and legal knowledge to carry with confidence and purpose.

Firearm Safety & Responsibility
Learn California’s safe storage laws, transport rules, and universal safety fundamentals.Legal Use of Force in California
Understand when you can and when you should use deadly force, what happens after a shooting, and how to legally protect yourself post-incident.Concealed Carry Fundamentals
Gear selection, on-body carry positions, drawing from concealment, and carry mindset.Live Fire Qualification
We’ll run you through the required qualification course of fire and ensure you’re safe, accurate, and ready.Real-World Defensive Shooting
Go beyond static range shooting. You’ll learn how to shoot under pressure, address malfunctions, reload efficiently, and manage your environment.Scenario-Based Training & Situational Awareness
Learn how to avoid conflict, read your surroundings, and make quick, smart decisions in high-stress situations.
⚠️ Requirements
Must be 21+ and legally eligible to possess a firearm
Must have a CA ID and a handgun registered to you (or proof of ownership)
Up to 3 firearms may be qualified during this course (depending on county policies)
You are responsible for confirming your issuing agency’s requirements

Schedule: 2 Days (Back-to-back)
Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM each day
Location: Outdoor range in Southern California (details provided upon registration)
